CAB presence increased at Horwich Resource Centre

Bolton Citizens Advice Bureau is proud to announce that its presence has been increased from one session every two weeks to one session every week.

Since Bolton CAB launched the outreach session in May – an event that was attended by Julie Hilling’s MP – the number of people booking appointments has increased week on week, this is why we have worked with Horwich Town Council to increase the sessions.

Richard Wilkinson – Chief Officer at Bolton Citizens Advice Bureau said:

“I am pleased that we have increased our presence in Horwich with the help of the Town Council and the support of Councillors.

“Every day in Bureau we see people who are really struggling, and often these people are in work but because of increased energy bills and food, just can’t afford to make ends meet.

“There was clearly a need to increase our session in Horwich, something we are really happy we have done.”

Bolton Citizens Advice Bureau now operates a drop-in session at Horwich Resource Centre every Friday between 9am – 11am and appointments can be booked by calling 01204 372152.

Specialist advisors are available to advice on issues relating to Debt, Benefits, Community Care, Immigration and Housing whilst also being able to help on a host of other issues.

Bolton CAB continues to offer free, impartial, confidential and independent advice from its centre at Mawdsley Street and at a number of other locations which can be found here
